Kathleen McMahon brings 27+ years of experience in senior leadership
roles in higher education, at both publics and privates and on both the
east and west coasts. She draws on her management and leadership
experiences where she led campuses through strategic change and
sensitive campus climate concerns. Her background in clinical social work and training in evidence-based coaching make her an empathic and strategic coach.

volatile environments, Kathleen can help. She is adept in supporting
senior leaders and individuals stay aligned with their values while working
towards strategic growth. She is an International Coaching Federation (ICF)
certified executive coach, with a master’s in clinical social work. Her
approach is informed by her training in evidence-based treatments such
as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment
Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and years of leadership
development.
Kathleen is known as an empathic, heartfelt coach who is passionate
about helping people create lasting change in their lives. Having worked in
higher education and senior leadership roles for over two decades, she
brings extensive experience leading strategic and organizational change.
Her gifts include having a curious, compassionate mindset, and the ability
to help people delve more deeply to create profound and meaningful
change.
She received her EdD in Education Leadership from UCLA’s Graduate
School of Education and Information Studies, holds a master’s degree in
clinical social work from Boston College, and majored in philosophy from
the University of New Hampshire. She received her coaching certification
from the Fielding Graduate University in Evidence Based Coaching and is
ACC ICF certified.
